Kumbhakarna in Kaliyuga

Kumbhakarna in Kaliyuga

Who is Kumbhakarna in Kaliyuga?

The Demon That Enters the Human Mind

My friend’s name was Rohit. He lived in Andheri, and I lived in Vashi. In 2016, when I went to live in a PG in Andheri, that is when I met him. We often met suddenly; till today we have never met by planning, because both of us did not want to meet each other. He did not like that I changed jobs again and again, and I did not like that he kept giving advice again and again. Still, whenever I went to Andheri, somehow or the other I would suddenly run into him.

I had started living in a PG in Andheri to hide my freelancing spa therapist profession from my mother, but I missed my mother, so twice a week I would go to the house in Vashi to stay with her. One day I was going home to Vashi by bike and was waiting at the signal near the Andheri RTO office. Suddenly Rohit came from behind and sat on the bike. He was going from D. N. Nagar Metro to Ghatkopar to visit some relative. I could going to Vashi through Ghatkopar, so I gave him a lift. When he found out that I had again left my job, he started giving me advice without stopping.

That day my luck was especially bad. Rohit convinced me to drop him directly to his relative’s house, then convinced me to drop him up to the door of his relative’s house, and then convinced me to sit there until he finished visiting his relative. Every time he used the same dialogue to convince me: “I will treat you chicken biryani.” For a 100-rupee chicken biryani, I gave him four hours of my life and my self-respect.

He used to say that every moment of life is valuable: either sell time or sell skill. If you have nothing of your own to sell, then sell the time and skill of someone who has them. I felt like telling him that I was spending my time and petrol to drop him, so he should pay the price for that. But then I thought he might ask me for the money for the chicken biryani as well. I stayed quiet for the free biryani.

After meeting Rohit, my mentality started changing. I started counting every moment according to its value. I began avoiding useless things. If even two minutes of my time was wasted because of someone, I would get angry. When my mother told me something, I would directly say, “Mom, speak to the point, my valuable time is being wasted.” Earlier I did not feel so sad when I failed in interviews, but the next day when I failed in a job interview, I felt that the interviewer had wasted two or three hours of my life and that I should ask them for compensation. If they are taking time for a job interview and do not give the job, then the money for the time spent in the interview should be given.

Rohit was lying. In his mind he was talking about giving a mental illness, and from his mouth he was saying chicken biryani. He did not give chicken biryani, but he gave a new mental illness.

Whenever my mentality changes, or when I get influenced or disturbed by someone and start behaving differently, then I ask Ganesh. Inside me there is another mind; its name is Ganesh.

Kedi: My mentality is starting to change. I am putting a price tag on everything. Why is this happening?

Ganesh: This has happened because of Kumbhkaran.

Kedi: What connection do I have with Kumbhkaran of the Ramayana? I have not even seen a scene of Ramayana for three years.

Ganesh: Kumbhkaran exists not only in the Ramayana, it also exists in Kaliyuga, and not just one but in numbers of lakhs.

KedI: Did I met Kumbhkaran?

Ganesh: Your friend Rohit had become a Kumbhkaran. By accepting his greed, you invited him into your body as well. You felt that you were putting a price tag on every action, but actually the Kumbhkaran that had entered your body was doing all this.

Kedi: What is the meaning of Kumbhkaran?

Ganesh: Kumbh means to fill and Karn means ear. The demonic beings who fill the ears of others and take advantage for themselves are actually victims of Kumbhkaran. Kumbhkaran resides in their body, and whoever becomes a victim of Kumbhkaran’s greed, Kumbhkaran enters that person’s body as well.

Kedi: Is Kumbhkaran still inside me?

Ganesh: The moment you started self-reflection and tried to understand your changed mentality, at that very moment Kumbhkaran left your body.

Kedi: What does that mean?

Ganesh: Kumbhkaran remains in a human body only until that person realizes his original mentality. As soon as a person remembers or recognizes his original mentality through self-awareness, not only Kumbhkaran but all demonic beings leave that person’s body.

Kedi: Are the Kumbhkaran of the Ramayana and my friend Kumbhkaran different, or are they the same?

Ganesh: Kumbhkaran are the same in every age. By filling the ears of others they take advantage for themselves, and they do not even let others realize it.

Kedi: The Kumbhkaran of the Ramayana used to sleep for six months, but Rohit sleeps every night.

Ganesh: Sleeping for six months and waking for six months is an idiom, not reality. Kumbhkaran works only when he has to take advantage of someone else; the rest of the time he is in sleeping mode, which is why this idiom is used. The enjoyment that does not come from doing things by oneself comes from using others, and Kumbhkaran enters the human body for this enjoyment.

Kedi: How long does Kumbhkaran remain in a human body?

Ganesh: As long as a person keeps thinking about taking advantage of others, Kumbhkaran remains in that person’s body. In some bodies he stays for a lifetime.

Kedi: How many days did he stay in my body?

Ganesh: He could not stay in your body even for twenty-four hours. As soon as you went for the interview the next day and the thought came to ask the interviewer for compensation because you did not get the job, that thought inspired you to self-reflect and Kumbhkaran left your body.

Kedi: My friend did not cause me any harm. Are Kumbhkaran not dangerous?

Ganesh: You were already poor. To harm you there was nothing except your free time, so he used your time. If you had money or goods, he would have used those. Kumbhkaran does not attack someone; he slowly loots someone.

Kedi: What should I do now?

Ganesh: You have already driven him away through self-reflection. Next time if someone tries to fill your ears, first try to remember your original nature and original purpose.

Kedi: Why kumbhakran enters human body?

Ganesh: Kumbhakarna can re-enter your body. Kumbhakarna does not physically harm its host or other people; it simply uses them both to experience the pleasure of using people for free.

Conclusion: Parmeshwara First Ganapati has created 12 forms of Rakshas Gana on earth. The definition of the word “Rakshas” is “species of spirits who descend in the human body and support Satan to destroy Sanatan Dharma are called Rakshas Gana.” Marich, Subahu, Kalnemi, Tadka, Pootna, Duryodhana, Kansa, Shakuni, Kumbhakarna, Ghatotkacha, Barbarik, and Banasur; these are 12 forms of Rakshas Gana.

A species of spirits who descend in human bodies and whisper false tales into the ears of society to destroy own existance and Sanatan Dharma are called Rakshas Kumbhakarna.
