Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s 8 Appendices on Hinduism – Answer by Kedi Ganapati
Appendix 1 – The Riddle of the Vedas
Kedi: The creation of the Vedas has been continuing since the origin of human beings, and even after those who are reading this die, new Vedas will continue to be created. This is a continuously ongoing process. The Vedas are not the name of a single scripture, but the name of a category of scriptures, which is eternal. If you think that only the worship texts written in the Sanskrit language are the Vedas, then this is a wrong concept. The worship texts written in the Sanskrit language are also a category of the Vedas. All the devotional literature such as bhajans, kirtans, aarti, songs, etc. used in worship in different languages of the world are all Vedas.
Appendix 2 – The Riddle of Vedanta
Kedi: The word Vedanta is formed by combining the two words Veda and Ant. The literal meaning of Vedanta is the final Veda, and the Veda after attaining which nothing else remains to be attained is called Vedanta. Mantra chanting is also a category of Veda. When a practitioner attains mastery of one mantra and does not need any other mantra to perform worship, then that mantra becomes Vedanta for that practitioner. When a practitioner gains knowledge of one subject of Dharma and does not need any other knowledge to follow Dharma, then that knowledge becomes Vedanta for that practitioner. Every mantra and every principle does not work as Vedanta for everyone; rather, the independent spiritual practice of each human being introduces them to Vedanta.
Appendix 3 – The Riddle of the Trimurti
Kedi: Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu, etc. gods are called the Trimurti. God Shiva controls time, God Brahma controls space, and God Vishnu controls energy. Supreme God Adi Ganapati has 33 forms, which are called 33 Koti Deities. In this there are 6 categories and 33 types. Adi Ganapati is a complete Supreme God. Uchchishta Ganapati and Gauri are 2 incomplete Supreme Gods. Shiva, Brahma, Vishnu, Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati, etc. are 7 Gods. Shankar, Dattatreya, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, Kalki, etc. are 7 Bhagwans. Kamadeva, Suryadev, Chandradev, Agnidev, Vayudev, Varunadev, Indradev and Dhruvadev, etc. are 8 Deities. Hanuman, Parashurama, Ravana, Vibhishana, Kripacharya, Vedavyasa, Ashwatthama, Raja Bali, etc. are 8 Chiranjivis. In this way Supreme God Adi Ganapati has manifested himself in 33 forms, which are called 33 Koti Deities. On Earth, time, space and energy are more active. The human body is three-dimensional, therefore among the 33 forms of the Supreme God on Earth, Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu remain more active. Therefore after the first deity, Supreme God Adi Ganapati, the Trimurti are more worshipped.
Appendix 4 – Smartism and Tantric Religion
Kedi: The Hindu sect that worships the Panchamahabhutas is called the Smart sect and Smart religion. Just as the Buddhist sect is called Buddhism. Whether Buddhist or Smart, both are not religions but sects of Sanatan Dharma. The 5 forms of the Supreme God such as Supreme God Adi Ganapati, Mahadurga (Gauri), Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma (Surya-Ravi) are called the Panchamahabhutas. In this, God Brahma is addressed by the names Surya and Ravi. Suryadev and God Surya are different. God Brahma is called God Surya and God Ravi. Goddess Gauri is called Mahadurga. Durga is a divine form and Mahadurga is a supreme goddess form.
The Hindu sect that performs Tantric worship to accomplish Devis and Ganas is called the Tantric sect and Tantric religion. Wine, meat, fish, mudra and maithuna, etc. actions begin with the letter “M”, therefore this practice is called Panchamakara. By performing Panchamakara, tamasic qualities become active in the human body, and to invite tamasic Devis and Ganas it is necessary for tamasic qualities to become active. Therefore Panchamakara becomes necessary in Tantric worship.
Appendix 5 – The Vedas are Irrefutable
Kedi: Every Veda is composed in a rhythmic form, due to which making changes in it alters its original form. Every human being has the right to compose Vedas, but no one has the right to change or correct the Veda composed by someone else. Therefore the Vedas are irrefutable and cannot be changed. There is a difference between irrefutable and eternal. Eternal is that which exists before birth and continues to exist after death. Irrefutable is bound by a time limit. Its creation happens after its creator, and after the creator dies that creation gradually disappears. Therefore all Vedas are irrefutable, but not a single Veda is eternal.
Appendix 6 – The Riddle of Varna-Ashrama Dharma
Kedi: Brahmacharya, Grihastha, Vanaprastha and Sannyasa are the 4 Varna-Ashramas. The 4 stages of human life are called Varna-Ashrama. When the stage of physical and intellectual development of a human begins, that stage of life is called Brahmacharya Ashrama. In Brahmacharya Ashrama, focusing on physical and intellectual development is the Dharma of that stage. In Grihastha Ashrama, fulfilling the economic and social responsibilities of the household is the Dharma of that stage. In Vanaprastha Ashrama, living in seclusion or staying away from the family for one’s own progress is the Dharma of that stage. In Sannyasa Ashrama, becoming free from the responsibilities of home and family, not contributing to any household work, keeping oneself away from all responsibilities, or renouncing home and family is the Dharma of that stage. No human being can choose their own Varna-Ashrama. A person’s actions and destiny select the appropriate Varna-Ashrama for them. Living one’s Varna-Ashrama by personal choice is not in the hands of any human being.
Appendix 7 – Mandatory Marital State
Kedi: There is no direct relation between Sanatan Dharma and something being mandatory. If any thing or subject is connected with being mandatory, then that thing or subject has no relation with Sanatan Dharma. Marriage is not mandatory for everyone. All human beings present in this world cannot marry even if they wish to. The one whose destiny and prarabdha contain marriage will get married; and the one whose destiny and prarabdha do not contain marriage, no matter how much effort they make, their marriage cannot happen.
Appendix 8 – Who are Shudras?
Kedi: Shudra is a part of one Varna among the principles of Sanatan Dharma, therefore asking “who were Shudras” would be wrong; asking “who are Shudras” would be correct. Shudras existed in the past, exist today, and will exist in the future. Shudra is a tendency to perform certain actions. The Shudra Varna has 4 designations: artist, servant, customer and student. All artists have a tendency called Shudra. Because of their Shudra tendency they have the desire to earn money by displaying their art. All officials, employees, workers and servants who do jobs have a tendency called Shudra. Because of their Shudra tendency they have the desire to earn money by working for another person or institution. All customers who have stopped working and make purchases from their savings or their family’s savings have a tendency called Shudra. Because of their Shudra tendency they have the desire to make purchases. All students who first study in order to earn money have a tendency called Shudra. Because of their Shudra tendency they have the desire to study. The day people started addressing each other with a particular caste and linked Varna with caste, from that day some communities began to be called Shudra. In reality Shudra is not the name of any community but the name of a human tendency, which is the first tendency received by all humans from birth so that humans take interest in studying due to the Shudra tendency. A human being can adopt more than one Varna during their lifetime. Human tendencies keep changing, and when the tendency changes the Varna also changes. The Varna of father and son can be different. Among four children of the same father, the Varna of all the children can be different.
Additional Appendix – The Riddle of Ram and Krishna
Kedi: Lord Ram did not go to the forest to run away, but
to build the nation and the state. Throughout his lifetime, Lord Ram traveled
to various kingdoms and created the Constitution, the code of justice, and the
penal code for the construction of the nation, and punished irreligious groups
and traitors. Therefore, Lord Ram is called the father of the nation. Lord Ram
trained many kings in nation-building and created the constitution of their nations,
and killed the traitorous demons who created obstacles in nation-building. When
the work of spreading the knowledge of Sanatan Dharma and the construction of
the nation was completed in all the states of Akhand Bharat, Lord Ram returned
to Ayodhya. In the Ramayana, the work of Lord Ram was nation-building and the
knowledge of the constitution and the code of justice. In order to hide that
work and knowledge, and to insult Lord Ram with the objective of destroying
Sanatan Dharma, false stories such as the abduction of Sita, the killing of
Ravana, the killing of Shambuka, the abandonment of Sita, the burning of Lanka,
etc., were added to the Ramayana.
Lord Krishna is the father of economics, political
ethics, and philosophy. Lord Krishna traveled throughout India and propagated
all the principles of Sanatan Dharma. Lord Krishna had only one marriage. Lord
Krishna did not have more than one marriage; the claim that Krishna was the
husband of 16,000 queens is false. This was falsely propagated by irreligious
and leftist groups with the objective of insulting Lord Krishna and destroying
Sanatan Dharma. Lord Krishna gave the world the knowledge of diplomacy and
politics through the principles of Sama, Dama, Danda, and Bheda. He gave the
knowledge of the 24 Sanatan Dharma Chakras, and the aphorisms of economics and
jurisprudence. He gave the knowledge of the Bhagavad Gita. By giving the
practical knowledge of the four yogas—Karma, Jnana, Dhyana, and Prana—he became
Yogiraj. If Lord Krishna is insulted, people will reject the knowledge of Lord
Krishna, and gradually Sanatan Dharma will end. With this intention,
anti-religious and leftist communities created false stories related to Lord
Krishna. All those anti-religious and leftist communities who wanted to destroy
Sanatan Dharma tried to destroy it by taking only false stories as the basis,
and even today they are working to destroy Sanatan Dharma by using the false
stories of Lord Ram and Krishna as the basis, and are conspiring to hide the
knowledge of Lord Ram and Krishna.
The irreligious first began referring to Lord Rama and Lord
Krishna as great men instead of Gods, so that people would become confused
about whether Rama and Krishna were Gods or merely great men. Then those
irreligious people compared Lord Rama and Krishna not on the basis of their
knowledge but through false stories and denied that they were even great men.
After that, they began spreading the propaganda that Lord Rama and Krishna are
bad, and therefore their Sanatan Dharma is also bad.
Unfortunately, some religious Hindus who did not have
knowledge of Dharma, but had complete faith in Lord Rama and Krishna, also
accepted the false stories about them.
Today, the main reason for the decline of Sanatan Dharma is that the gods have been reduced to mere stories. Therefore, I, Kedi Ganapati, request all human beings of the world to focus more on understanding the knowledge given by the gods rather than the stories about them. All your confusions will disappear. The riddle of Sanatan Dharma will become your companion.
