Enter into Tantra
Kedi: "How can I become a Tantrik?"
Ganesh: "Why do you want to become a Tantrik?"
Kedi: "I want to write a chapter on Tantra in a religious scripture. I want to know everything about Sanatan Dharma."
Ganesh: "You can understand Tantra even without becoming a Tantrik."
Kedi: "How?"
Ganesh: "By observing your own behavior and that of others, you can both understand and experience Tantra."
Kedi: "What is Tantra?"
Ganesh: "Any physical action and the physical reaction to it—that is Tantra."
Kedi: "I didn't get it."
Ganesh: "When you perform any physical act in devotion to God—fasting, walking on pilgrimage, carrying the palanquin, fulfilling a vow, etc.—all of that is Tantra in devotion. When you sit on an asana for hours doing sadhana, giving pain to the body while practicing—that is Tantra practice. When you perform a physical act with the desire of harming another person—that is Tantra action (black magic)."
The Trinity of Tantra
Kedi: "So, Tantra Devotion, Tantra Practice, and Tantra Action are three different things?"
Ganesh: "Yes. Just by combining Tantra with time, place, and desire, the very nature of Tantra changes."
Kedi: "How?"
Ganesh: "When Tantra is combined with the 'time' of devotion, it becomes Tantra Devotion. When Tantra is combined with the 'place' of spiritual practice, it becomes Tantra Practice. When Tantra is combined with the 'desire' behind an action, it becomes Tantra Action."
Kedi: "What do you mean by 'time of devotion'?"
Ganesh: "A human being's devotion is bound to time. A person can never force devotion at any random moment, nor should they try. When the right time comes, devotion awakens on its own."
Kedi: "What happens if someone tries to do devotion at the wrong time?"
Ganesh: "Imagine you're riding a bike and stop at a traffic signal. The driver behind you, instead of pressing the brake, closes their eyes in devotion and starts praying. Nothing in the world can save you from becoming minced meat or keema."
Kedi: "What do you mean by 'place of practice'?"
Ganesh: "A human being's spiritual practice is bound to place. You cannot practice anywhere you want. Practice is possible only when the place carries positive energy."
Kedi: "What happens if someone practices in the wrong place?"
Ganesh: "If you sit in the middle of a garbage dump and try to do pranayama, your breath will get stuck—and that's exactly the result you'll get from practicing in the wrong place."
Kedi: "What do you mean by 'desire behind an action'?"
Ganesh: "Every action a human performs has a desire behind it. No human can act without some desire."
Kedi: "What kind of desires?"
Ganesh: "There are 8 divine desires and 8 demonic desires."
The Eight Divine and Demonic Desires
Kedi: "What are divine desires?"
Ganesh: "When a person has the desire of their own growth and evolution—that is divine desire."
Kedi: "What are the 8 divine desires?"
Ganesh: "Desire for sexual pleasure, purity, love, happiness, peace, knowledge, bliss, and liberation—the wish to attain these 8 things are the 8 divine desires."
Kedi: "What are demonic desires?"
Ganesh: "When a person has the desire to destroy others—that is demonic desire."
Kedi: "What are the 8 demonic desires?"
Ganesh: "Lust, anger, greed, addiction, fear, doubt, jealousy, and cruelty—the desire to indulge in or be ruled by these 8 are the 8 demonic desires."
Sensual vs Lust
Kedi: "What's the difference between sensual pleasure and lust?"
Ganesh: "Wanting romance with your own partner is sensual pleasure. Wanting romance with someone else's partner is lust."
Kedi: "What if the person doesn't have a partner at all?"
Ganesh: "Then it's only lust. Hey, you're not talking about yourself, are you?"
Anger vs Cruelty
Kedi: "What's the difference between anger and cruelty?"
Ganesh: "If someone wants to slap you twice—that's anger. If someone wants to cut your head—that's cruelty."
Kedi: "Don't use me in examples; I get scared. Give someone else's example."
Ganesh: "You yourself are a perfect example."
The Six Tantric Actions
Kedi: "I've heard there are 6 types of Tantra Action, but you're talking about 8 divine and 8 demonic desires. What is the truth?"
Ganesh: "There are 6 deeds of Tantra and 16 desire of Tantra."
Kedi: "What's the difference between 'deeds' and 'desire'?"
Ganesh: "You want to learn Tantra—that is the desire to gain knowledge. After learning Tantra, you want to write a religious book on it—that is your deed."
Kedi: How to know whether an action is part of a deed or a desire?
Ganesh: Deeds are connected with achievements through actions, and desires are connected with emotions through actions. Both are achieved by actions only. But if an action is not done by oneself but done by someone else, it is still an achievement; if an emotion is not experienced by oneself but experienced by someone else, it is not a desire. If an achievement is fulfilled, the deed is done; if an emotion is fulfilled, the desire is done.
Kedi: "What are the 6 deeds of Tantra?"
Ganesh: "Marana, Mohana, Vashikarana, Stambhana, Vidvesana, and Uchchatana—these are the classic 6 deeds of (usually harmful) Tantra."
Kedi: "What is Marana?"
Ganesh: "When you want to completely erase someone's existence (kill them), it is called Marana."
Kedi: "What is Mohana?"
Ganesh: "When you want someone to keep circling around you like a moth, it is Mohana."
Kedi: "What is Vashikarana?"
Ganesh: "When you want to make someone dance to your tunes, it is Vashikarana."
Kedi: "What is Stambhana?"
Ganesh: "When you want to freeze or paralyze someone (stop them in their tracks), it is Stambhana."
Kedi: "What is Vidvesana?"
Ganesh: "When you want to create hatred and separate two people who are close, it is Vidvesana."
Kedi: "What is Uchchatana?"
Ganesh: "When you want to remove someone from their position or 'swap their chair' (dislodge them), it is Uchchatana."
Kedi: "None of these 6 seem good at all. Then which kriyas come from the 8 divine desires?"
Ganesh: "It's not always an external enemy who harms a person. Sometimes a person's own weaknesses act like enemies. Therefore, the Tantra Action performed on oneself to conquer one's own flaws is called Divine Tantra Action."
Marana Kriya
Kedi: "Why would anyone perform Marana on themselves and kill themselves?"
Ganesh: "Suppose you're a playboy by nature, but now you want to get married and settle down. So, you want to permanently destroy that playboy side of your personality. For that, you would perform divine Marana Tantra on yourself. Got it?"
Kedi: "Do I absolutely have to perform Marana Tantra on myself to kill my playboy nature?"
Ganesh: "Just like you don't have to become a Tantrik to learn Tantra, similarly, you don't need to perform Marana Tantra to erase your old habits, character, or identity. You can simply drop the old nature and adopt a new one without any Tantra Kriya."
Kedi: "If we can achieve our purpose according to our desire without Tantra Kriya, then why do Tantra Action at all?"
Ganesh: "Some people can swim across the river by themselves; some people can't swim at all. Those who can swim don't need Tantra Action. Those who cannot swim need the 'support' of Tantra to reach the other shore."
Kedi: "Why does a person perform Marana Tantra on others?"
Ganesh: "To fulfill one of the eight demonic desires of a human, one performs Marana Kriya on others."
Kedi: "What kind of desires?"
Ganesh: "Suppose you fall madly in love with a married woman. Your lust to romance her keeps growing. As long as her husband is alive or living with her, your desire cannot be fulfilled. So, you would perform Marana Tantra on her husband, resulting in him suddenly going to live alone in another city or country, or even dying."
Kedi: "I can't fall madly in love with a married woman."
Ganesh: "I was just giving an example. You can't fall for anyone anyway. To fall for someone, you also need money in your pocket."
Kedi: "How do people who don't need tantric rituals perform Marana?"
Ganesh: "They get the woman's husband transferred themselves, or they kill him directly."
Kedi: "Why the need to kill the husband? Can't there be a divorce?"
Ganesh: "Some people have such weak mindsets that they can't even bear to see the face of their partner's ex-partner. If they do see it, they experience mental pain that no one else can imagine. That's why they don't think of separation; they directly think of sending them to death."
Mohana Kriya
Kedi: "Why would a person perform Mohana Kriya on themselves?"
Ganesh: "You are associated with an organization. You like the work of that organization. You have become so enchanted by it that you are not giving proper time to your family and friends. Even when there's no need or event, you keep hanging around that organization, which is not good for your personal life. When you realize that you need to live for yourself too, then you will perform Mohana Kriya on yourself so that you can righteously balance both your personal life and organizational duties."
Kedi: "Why does a person perform Mohana Tantra on others?"
Ganesh: "When you want some people to follow you around, to become your shadow instead of living their own personal lives, then you will perform Mohana Tantra on them."
Kedi: "How can one tell if someone has performed Mohana Tantra on me?"
Ganesh: "No one can perform Mohana Tantra on you. You are forgetful. No matter how big a person is, you forget them. Mohana Tantra is impossible on forgetful people."
Kedi: "How can one tell if Mohana Tantra has been performed on others?"
Ganesh: "When someone pretends to do excessive favors for another, takes them around without reason, then understand that they are bound by Mohana Tantra. One is performing Mohana Tantra; the other is its victim."
Vashikarana Kriya
Kedi: "Why would a person perform Vashikarana Tantra on themselves?"
Ganesh: "Often you wake up between 7 and 10 AM, sometimes work early, sometimes less after lunch; your routine keeps changing every 3 months with job changes. One day you decide to make a routine for yourself, follow it for 3 days, and forget it on the fourth. Those three days of following the same routine were a Vashikarana Tantra you performed on yourself."
Kedi: "Why does a person perform Vashikarana on others?"
Ganesh: "When you work according to your own will, it feels good. But when someone else works according to your will, it feels even better. For that greater pleasure, you perform Vashikarana on others."
Kedi: "Until now, I've been working alone; no one has done my work for me."
Ganesh: "To get work done by others, you also need money in your pocket."
Stambhana Kriya
Kedi: "Why would a person perform Stambhana Tantra on themselves?"
Ganesh: "You enjoy recounting your foolish mistakes, but you shouldn't tell them to certain people, like clients or relatives. Yet, out of habit, you sometimes tell everyone, and it creates another blunder. To stop this habit of yours, you would need to perform Stambhana Tantra on yourself."
Kedi: "Why does a person perform Stambhana Tantra on others?"
Ganesh: "You are working in a company, and I am too; we are both making separate blueprints for the same project. The company rule is that only one blueprint will be accepted. You know your blueprint will take 6 months, while mine can be ready in 3 days. You will create obstacles in my work so that I don't submit the blueprint before you. Whatever you do to stop my work is Stambhana Tantra."
Kedi: "If someone is stopping me from doing a task, does that mean they are performing Stambhana on me?"
Ganesh: "No, only when someone specifically stops you from one particular task is that Stambhana."
Vidvesana Kriya
Kedi: "Why would a person perform Vidvesana Tantra on themselves?"
Ganesh: "When you were 19, you had one-sided love for Yogita. She didn't even know you were attached to her. Even after Yogita left, for two months you kept saying 'Yogita' day and night. Seeing your condition, I was confused about whether to laugh or cry. I taught you the lesson of acceptance, and only then did you calm down. Whatever you did to forget Yogita at that time was an internal Vidvesana. When someone leaves your life, or you need to remove someone from your life, erasing the attachment to them is internal Vidvesana Tantra."
Kedi: "Why does a person perform Vidvesana Kriya on others?"
Ganesh: "When you realize your friend is very happy because he got a girlfriend, and you can't bear to see your friend's happiness, you give the girl proof of one old mistake of your friend, along with 25 made-up ones. Because of the proof of one, the poor girl believes all 25 lies too, and their relationship breaks. After the girl leaves, your friend becomes sad, and seeing his sadness makes you happy. All these are external Vidvesana Tantra."
Kedi: "I don't have any friends."
Ganesh: "You tell friends, 'Call me only for picnics or parties, not to lighten your heart.' Then who will befriend you? Friends are made by maintaining friendship."
Uchchatana Kriya
Kedi: "Why would someone perform Uchchatana Tantra on themselves?"
Ganesh: "Until yesterday, you were in the position of a Vaishnava sadhu at Geeta Bhawan in Rishikesh; a short while ago, you attained the Aghori position at the cremation ground. Your leaving one position to attain another is an internal Uchchatana Tantra."
Kedi: "Why would someone perform Uchchatana on others?"
Ganesh: "In an organization, you have a friend. Whenever you go to eat prasad, your friend serves you two extra laddoos, but other servants don't give you anything extra. When you recommend one of your own people for the head chef's chair, and based on your recommendation, the old chef is replaced with a new head chef, that head chef will order all servants: 'Whenever the glutton Kedi comes for prasad, give him two of everything.' Whatever you did to replace the old chef with a new one to get two extra puris in prasad is called external Uchchatana Tantra."
Why Is a Tantrik Needed?
Kedi: "When people can perform Tantra Kriya in this way themselves, then why do people go to Tantric Aghoris for tantric black magic and sorcery?"
Ganesh: "You forgot again. The one who already knows how to swim doesn't need Tantra, but those who don't know which techniques to apply to perform Tantra Kriya or which demonic power is required have to take the help of Tantrics and Aghoris to acquire those incantations and powers."
Kedi: "Incantations and powers—I didn't understand anything."
Ganesh: "Suppose you want to perform an external Vidvesana Tantra Kriya on some couple, but you have no evidence, no technique, your mind has stopped thinking, and you don't have the demonic power within you to carry out criminal activity—then you will go to a Tantric or Aghori. The Tantric or Aghori will make you perform certain tantric rituals, which will change your mentality; demonic entities (gana) will enter your body, and then you will commit some criminal act to break that couple's relationship."
Kedi: "Is tantric kriya done to carry out criminal activities?"
Ganesh: "No, not only for criminal activities, but also for spiritual and mental development."
Kedi: "How?"
Ganesh: "Suppose you have gone mad in love with a girl. Seeing your madness and obsession, the girl got scared and ran away from you. You are unable to forget her on your own. You can't go anywhere. Then your relatives will go to some Tantric and describe your problem. The Tantric will perform Vidvesana Kriya on you and reduce the attachment in your mind toward that girl. As soon as the attachment for that girl decreases in your mind, you will become normal again."
The Origin of Tantra:
Gauri and Ganapati
Kedi: "Which goddess is invoked in tantric worship?"
Ganesh: "The Riddhi-Siddhi form of the supreme goddess Gauri is invoked."
Kedi: "I have never heard of Gauri Riddhi-Siddhi in tantra."
Ganesh: "The creators and lords of tantra and the ganas are Gauri and Ganapati."
Kedi: "How are Gauri and Ganapati the deities of tantra?"
Ganesh: "The supreme Gauri and Uchchishtha Ganapati are complementary to each other. Without Gauri, Ganapati is inactive; without Ganapati, Gauri is inactive. Gauri-Ganapati together created the ganas and the tantra system."
Kedi: "I have heard that the masters of Tantra are Shiva and Shakti? What is the truth?"
Ganesh: "In the ancient manvantara of every kalp (cycle), Bhagwan Shankar imparts the knowledge of Tantra. In the middle manvantara, Bhagwan Dattatreya imparts the knowledge of Tantra. And in the final Kali Yuga of the current manvantara, Bhagwan Kalki and Ganesh impart the knowledge of Tantra. But the creators of Tantra are Gauri-Ganapati."
Kedi: "I didn't understand anything."
Ganesh: "In every kalpa, the first time Bhagwan Shankar imparts the knowledge of Tantra. Whoever imparts the knowledge first is called the originator (janak); therefore, Shankar and Parvati are called the originators of Tantra. But the ones who actually created Tantra are Gauri-Ganapati. The ones who will give the final knowledge of Tantra are Kalki-Ganesh."
Kedi: "Is the Tantra that exists now wrong?"
Ganesh: "The current Tantra has adulterations and lacks some original knowledge. Bhagwan Kalki and Ganesh will incarnate and once again give the final true knowledge of Tantra."
The Relation of Riddhi-Siddhi with Gauri-Ganapati
Kedi: "What is the relation of Riddhi-Siddhi with Gauri-Ganapati?"
Ganesh: "Since Ganapati is the supreme male god, he did not manifest himself in separate forms to give completeness and expansion to various subjects. But since Gauri is the supreme female goddess, she manifested herself as Riddhi for expansion in various subjects and as Siddhi for granting completeness."
Kedi: "Why is that?"
Ganesh: "It is the nature of the female that she has to take a different form for every different task. Suppose you get married tomorrow—you can go everywhere wearing the same shirt and pants. But your wife will need a different dress and saree for visiting each relative, a different dress, different makeup, and different behaviour for going to different places. This is the supreme quality of the female."
Kedi: "How are Riddhi and Siddhi invoked in tantra?"
Ganesh: "A human has 10 stubborn desires, which Riddhi fulfils, and 9 life stages, which Siddhi fulfils. Therefore, to fulfil a stubborn desire, one must invoke the 10 forms of Riddhi; but Siddhi is satvik goddess which is not invoked in Tantra."
The 10 Forms of Tantric Riddhi: The Dasha Mahavidyas
Kedi: "What are the 10 forms of Riddhi?"
Ganesh: "Mahakali, Tara, Shodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi, and Kamala—these are the 10 forms of Riddhi, also known as the 10 Mahavidyas."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Mahakali?"
Ganesh: "When a practitioner wants something before its due time, the practitioner invokes Mahakali in Tantric worship."
Kedi: "What does 'before its time' mean?"
Ganesh: "You are in an unfamiliar place, you feel like eating vada pav, you know that in this area vada pav is not available, you might get vada pav only after reaching Mumbai in 2 days, but you insist that you want to eat vada pav before the proper time. Then, to eat vada pav before its time, you perform Tantric worship by invoking Mahakali. Then Mahakali uses your accumulated virtue to arrange vada pav for you. But if you don't have sufficient virtue, no matter how much Tantric worship you do, you won't get vada pav."
Kedi: "If I want to eat vada pav without Tantric worship?"
Ganesh: "You will have to buy potatoes, chillies, pav, etc., from the market yourself and make vada pav and eat it. If you can put in the effort to make vada pav yourself, then you don't need to perform Tantric worship."
Kedi: "If I eat vada pav today through Tantric worship, will I still be able to eat it 2 days later?"
Ganesh: "If the thing that was supposed to come in 2 days comes today, then that same thing won't come in 2 days. If you want to eat vada pav even after 2 days, acquire more virtue."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Ma Tara?"
Ganesh: "In everyone's life, downfall comes; a person loses everything. Some people seek support even before losing everything. To be saved from downfall, Ma Tara is invoked in Tantric worship."
Kedi: "What is downfall?"
Ganesh: "Your one business branch was running well, so you set up your second branch in a wrong location; all the money related to that branch sank. Due to mental unrest, it started affecting the operations of your first branch, and that branch also began to sink—this is called downfall. A decline in health and income due to one wrong decision is a downfall."
Kedi: "Does performing Tantric worship of Ma Tara stop the downfall?"
Ganesh: "It doesn't just stop the downfall; rather, the person gets proper knowledge, guidance, and contacts to correct their wrong decision, due to which their growth starts again."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Shodashi?"
Ganesh: "Some practitioners insist on getting a beautiful body, house, or company; to fulfil that insistence, they perform Tantric worship of Shodashi."
Kedi: "Does one get a house by performing Tantric worship of Shodashi?"
Ganesh: "By worship, one gets the power and strategy needed to acquire a house; using that power and strategy, the practitioner builds their own house."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Bhuvaneshwari?"
Ganesh: "Some practitioners insist on achieving a high position; to fulfil that insistence, Tantric worship of Bhuvaneshwari is performed."
Kedi: "What kind of high position?"
Ganesh: "Minister, high officer, commander, owner, etc.—high positions."
Kedi: "Can a high position be obtained just by performing Tantric worship of Bhuvaneshwari?"
Ganesh: "Any position is obtained only when someone has knowledge and power. Bhuvaneshwari gives a person the knowledge and power to achieve a high position. The person has to use that power and knowledge themselves to attain the high position."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Bhairavi?"
Ganesh: "Some practitioners insist on eliminating their fear; to fulfil that insistence, Tantric worship of Bhairavi is performed."
Kedi: "What kind of fear?"
Ganesh: "Fear of failure, fear of being looted, fear of getting hurt, fear of dying prematurely, fear of getting caught in theft, many types of fears."
Kedi: "What am I afraid of?"
Ganesh: "You are afraid of everything, and in the very next moment, you try to do that very thing to find out what happens after fear."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Chinnamasta?"
Ganesh: "When a practitioner realises that they are completely trapped in greed and addiction, then to get freedom from greed and addiction—or to fulfil their greed and addiction—they perform Tantric worship of Chinnamasta."
Kedi: "What kind of greed and addiction?"
Ganesh: "Some practitioners have the greed to open many branches of their business and the greed to buy others' businesses and make them their own; some have the addiction to have sex with a new person every weekend."
Kedi: "Does their greed and addiction get fulfilled by performing Tantric worship?"
Ganesh: "If they have accumulated merit, it certainly happens, but if there is no merit, it doesn't. Worship is done not only to obtain but also to get rid of greed and addiction. Through Chinnamasta's Tantric worship, the practitioner's addiction and greed are eliminated."
Kedi: "How?"
Ganesh: "Greed and addiction happen due to impaired intellect; when intellect develops, greed and addiction go away. Tantric worship improves the intellect."
Kedi: "Is Tantric worship necessary to improve intellect?"
Ganesh: "No, one who is capable of developing their own intellect does not need any kind of Tantric worship, because their system is already fine. Only those who have weakness or disturbance in their tantra system need Tantric worship."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Dhumavati?"
Ganesh: "Some practitioners insist on quickly eliminating their poverty; to fulfil that insistence, Tantric worship of Dhumavati is performed."
Kedi: "Does poverty go away by performing Tantric worship?"
Ganesh: "Poverty comes due to low intellect and laziness. Tantric worship develops intellect and eliminates laziness, due to which the practitioner starts working hard, and their poverty ends."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Bagalamukhi?"
Ganesh: "Some practitioners insist on stopping or destroying their enemy; to fulfil that insistence, they perform Tantric worship of Bagalamukhi."
Kedi: "Does the enemy get destroyed by Tantric worship?"
Ganesh: "It doesn't happen just by worship; rather, through worship, one gets knowledge and power on how to destroy the enemy. The practitioner has to use that knowledge and power to destroy the enemy."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Matangi?"
Ganesh: "Some practitioners insist on quickly becoming proficient in some art; to fulfil that insistence, they perform Tantric worship of Matangi."
Kedi: "I don't know music; if I perform Tantric worship of Matangi, will I learn music?"
Ganesh: "No, by performing Tantric worship, you will have the desire to learn music, but you won't deliberately practise music, so music is not in your capacity."
Kedi: "Why do we invoke Kamala?"
Ganesh: "Some practitioners insist on achieving completeness in a particular subject; to fulfil that insistence, Tantric worship of Kamala is performed."
Kedi: "What is completeness in a subject?"
Ganesh: "If a businessman makes 2-3 products in a category, he insists on making all products in that category. When he succeeds in making all products in that one category, it is called completeness."
The 36 Desires of
Tantric Worship
Kedi: "How many types of Tantrik worship are there?"
Ganesh: "Tantric worship is performed for a total of 36 desires, including 8 divine desires, 8 demonic desires, 6 deeds, 10 stubbornnesses, and 4 devotions etc. The Tantric worship of the Ten Mahavidyas for siddhi is done only to fulfil the 10 stubbornnesses of a human."
Kedi: "For the 6 deeds, whose worship is performed?"
Ganesh: "For the 6 deeds, worship of Ten Mahavidyas and various Ganas and demons is performed."
Kedi: "For the 8 divine desires, whose worship is performed?"
Ganesh: "For the 8 divine desires, worship of Uchchishtha Ganapati is performed."
Kedi: "For the 8 demonic desires, whose worship is performed?"
Ganesh: "For the demonic desires, worship of Chandala Gana is performed."
Kedi: "Is worship of Ganas not done in all Tantric worships?"
Ganesh: "No, in some Tantric worships, only the Goddess is worshipped; in some Tantric worships, only Uchchishtha Ganapati is worshipped; in some Tantric worships, only Ganas and demons are worshipped."
The Complete Structure of
Kedi Tantra
Tantra has 3 categories and 36 actions of human desires. The 8 divine desires, 8 demonic desires, and 6 deeds are the categories of Tantra Action, which need emotions for desire. The 10 stubbornnesses are a category of Tantra Sadhana, which needs a place for practice. The 4 devotions are a category of Tantra Devotion, which needs time for devotion.
Sexual pleasure, purity, love, happiness, peace, knowledge, bliss, and liberation—these 8 divine desires are fulfilled by Tantric worship of only Uchchishtha Ganapati. Lust–Pishach, anger–Brahmarakshas, greed–Dakini, addiction–Shakini, fear–Betal, doubt–Chetuk, jealousy–Chetkin, and cruelty–Chudail—these 8 demonic desires are fulfilled by Tantric worship of the 8 forms of Chandala Gana.
Marana, Mohana, Vashikarana, Stambhana, Vidvesana, and Uchchatana—these 6 deeds are fulfilled by Tantric worship of the Dasha Mahavidya and various other Ganas. There are 10 stubbornnesses of humans fulfilled by Tantric worship of the 10 Mahavidyas. There are four types of bhakti—tantra, mantra, yantra, and yoga—fulfilled by Tantric worship of Gauri Ganapati, Shiv Kali, Durga, and Bhagwan Shankar, Dattatreya, and Kalki.
The 8 divine desires, 8 demonic desires, 6 deeds, 10 stubbornnesses, and 4 devotions—together these 36 actions of human desire make complete Tantra."
