21 Forms of Parmeshwari Gauri: Riddhi and Siddhi

21 Forms of Parmeshwari Gauri: Riddhi and Siddhi

Since the Parmeshwar Uchchishta Ganapati is the male aspect, the Parmeshwar Uchchishta Ganapati did not need to take different forms to create different subjects; hence, the Parmeshwar Uchchishta Ganapati did not take any other form that was identical to himself for the creation of the universe.

Since the Goddess Gauri is the female aspect, the Goddess Gauri had to take different forms that were identical to herself to provide completion and expansion to different subjects; hence, the Goddess Gauri first divided herself into Riddhi and Siddhi forms to provide completion and expansion to the universe.

The word Ridhi means expansion, and the word Siddhi means completeness. Goddess Gauri wanted to expand and complete various subjects in the creation in a subtle way, so Goddess Gauri divided herself into the forms of Riddhi and Siddhi.

Goddess Gauri knew that after the creation of the universe, the Gana and human beings had to be created, and after the creation of human beings, 10 stubborn tendencies and 9 lifestyles were bound to come into human life, so to fulfil the 10 different stubborn tendencies of human beings and to provide 9 different lifestyles to human beings, Goddess Gauri divided herself into 10 Riddhis and 9 Siddhis before the creation of the universe and human beings.

Goddess Gauri divided her Riddhi form into 10 Maha Vidya forms, such as Mahakali, Maa Tara, Shodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Baglamukhi, Matangi, and Kamala. Goddess Gauri herself in Riddhi form gives 10 special wisdoms and powers to the human being to fulfil their 10 different stubbornnesses; therefore, the Riddhi form of Parmeshwari Gauri is also called Maha Vidya.

Goddess Gauri herself, in her Siddhi form, provides 9 different lifestyles to the human being to give a form to their life; hence the Siddhi form of Goddess Gauri is also called Navdurga.
